4/7/2024 0 Comments Quick gun murugan full movieThe characters and concept of QGM might appear exciting on paper but the execution by director Shashanka Ghosh is lame and redundant. While the writing by Raghu Devraj resorts to every cinematic formula from reincarnation to revenge, it fails to spoof it to humourous extents thereby making it appear like just another stale flick. But entertainment is a mandatory expectation from any movie which lacks in QGM. Since the film is supposed to be a spoof, you dont attempt to find any logic or sense in the proceedings. The rest of the film revolves around a masala dosa plot (again in literal sense) as Reddy wants to formulate non-veg dosas for his food joint while Murugun opposes his attempts. Decades later, Murugun reincarnates in the same avatar and arrives in Mumbai where Reddy is planning to start his chain of restaurants. Imagine a superhero film where he dies in the opening sequence! The story (literally) dates back to 80s when Quick Gun Murugun (Dr Rajendra Prasad) is killed by Rice Plate Reddy (Nasser), who wants to spread non-vegetarianism across. The character Quick Gun Murugun (flamboyance of Clint Eastwoods cowboy meeting the larger-than-life heroism of South Indian superstars) might appear interesting but all it does is resort to clichs on the excuse of spoof which amuses the least. Its imperative that the output of the amplification be funny to pull-off a successful satire. A spoof doesnt merely mean imitating and exaggerating clichs.
